Facilitation training

Facilitation skills are different to training skills. The role of a facilitator can vary significantly in different situations.

The participants on this training program are involved in a wide variety of situations requiring a range of facilitation skills. As project managers, they manage various processes designed to achieve significant outcomes for their company, a subsidiary of a major global company.

Derek designed the training program as a demonstation facilitated session. Although it was a training session, Derek 'facilitated' the training.

The session covered the specific needs of the group, in addition to a general review of facilitation. Specific issues included maintaining control and momentum, handling different types of workshop participants and ensuring positive outcomes were achieved.

As a group, the participants also made decisions about the improvement and refinement of certain business processes.
