Staff Development Program

Derek Stockley is a trainer, facilitator and consultant. This program represented a firm commitment by a department manager to the personal development of staff.

Unique staff development initiative

An in-house staff development program

This project started with an enquiry from a department manager. He wanted to provide his staff with a personal development program.

The background of the staff was discussed. Previous training programs were evaluated. The future growth of the company was discussed. We decided that an emphasis on productivity improvement would be the main objective of the program.

Consequently, a one day program was designed and presented. The main emphasis was time management, but communication, leadership, customer service and interpersonal skills were also featured.

The reaction of staff was very positive. The excellent performance culture that existed was reinforced.

This is one example of how Derek Stockley’s experience adds to his training and consulting work. For other examples, see: training and consulting case studies.
