Management training
Leadership relates to the ability to motivate and guide others in a specific direction. Management encompasses leadership but also includes the traditional tasks of planning, organising, controlling and communicating.
Like leadership training, management training can also be formal or informal.
Formal programs include training courses, business games, case studies, management education programs at universities, e-learning packages and the like.
Informal education includes coaching, mentoring, and relevant experience including secondments, job exchanges and the like.
A variety of approaches can be used to design training that meets the diversity of training needs described above.
Course lengths can vary. The training can be intensive or spread over a period of time. It may consist of half-day, one day or longer sessions. sometimes, a course with a residential component is useful.
