Training people to use computer software is a specialised training skill

Training end users in the use of software requires specific training skills. Many people find formal software training inadequate - it often is not pitched at their actual training need and requirement.

Derek Stockley provides specialised training for trainers who are required to provide software training, whether it be for PC based or web based software.

In an interesting case, two separate software companies independently approached Derek at the same time. One company had a web based system, the other a PC based system. Both had three staff that needed "train-the-trainer" training.

Although the companies were completely separate, they had a 'business partner' relationship because their software could be linked and used by their clients to exchange data.

On Derek’s suggestion, both companies were willing to participate in one training program, rather than two. This reduced their cost, and provided benefits for the staff as well - gaining a better understanding of the software product of each company.

The "train-the-trainer" training was designed and tailored to cover software training for the company products. In addition, Derek was able to provide practical examples of the challenges to be faced.
