Navigation and Site Information |

Text SizeYou can vary the text size of the display. On Internet Explorer, I prefer the "medium" option located on the Text Size option of the View toolbar. The font size has been put on a large setting to assist visually impaired users. Your own default settings also help determine the font size. Scrolling DownSometimes, you have to left click in the right frame area before the content will scroll down. Link ColorsPage links you are yet to visit are blue and pages you have already visited are purple. Page links you hover over prior to selection are fuchsia on the general pages or black on a colored background. Your last selection is red with a yellow boxed background. Use of framesThis site uses "frames" for most pages. The main exceptions are the Link pages which are not "framed". The site has a detailed content listing in the left column (frame) on most pages, except the Links pages. Clicking the appropriate button or link will take you to the topic/area listed. If you have entered the site though a search engine listing, you may not have the left column (frame) displayed. Selecting "Home" will take you to the framed site which provides the content information. In e-learning products, select the product name from the navigation bar at the top of the page. If you currently do not have a left contents column, click here to be taken to the framed site. The main frames pages are listed here. Moving around the siteNavigation is also assisted by clicking on:
- takes you to the bottom of the page. Your browser back button may have to be pressed twice in some cases to go back to the previous page viewed. Printing/BookmarkingTo eliminate the left column, most pages have the icon:
Colors in headings and links are eliminated when printing. Select this icon to open the page prior to your normal printing procedure. You can also use this feature to bookmark a particular page without the left column. Frames sometimes do not allow you to bookmark a particular page. Alternatively, many printers have a print frame section displayed as part of the options listed prior to printing. Left click in the area you want to print prior to selecting the print option. Finding HomeTo go to the Derek Stockley Home Page, you have a number of options: Selection of this logo icon on most pages will take you to the home page: ![]() At the bottom of each page (see below) is a range of standard links including Home. Some pages i.e. second level and deeper, have navigation links near the top of each page. This page is an example. Home is always listed first. E-learning and E-journey pagesOn the left side contents list you may see a This button gives instructions on how to refresh the visited links to display all the pages you have visited. Derek Stockley Site SearchTo search for specific information on this site, go to the Site Search facility on: Site Search.

SpellingYou may notice variations of spelling on this website. Typical examples are:
Although it goes against all my "good grammar" principles, multiple spellings are used to assist site users in finding information. As many of you use search engines to find information, the spelling variations assist you without having to deal with the problems of different spelling conventions. This process is called Search Engine Optimisation. As an Australian based site, I may also use Australian terminology. For example, I spell "optimisation" with an "s" rather than a "z", as this is the Australian convention. Another example of an "Australianism" (although not really relevant except for your general knowlege education) is the use of "Mum" instead of "Mom" for mother.
