Search Engine Optimisation Training

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is as important as good web design. Websites should be "search engine friendly" to maximise referrals from search engines.

You have to control your own destiny. Only you truly know your own business. You need to monitor your website visitors, see what they respond to and adjust your content accordingly. Consequently, you need to be trained to do this yourself.

This page outlines two cost effective approaches to achieving this, the first completely controlled by you, the second involving some initial training and direction that outlines your website marketing path.

SEO Training Content

SEO and related training should provide answers to such questions as:

What is search engine optimisation (SEO)? Is it the same as search engine marketing (SEM)?

What will be the results of my SEO approach? What will my SEO efforts achieve?

What is my role? What can I do? What can't I do? How should I approach SEO?

How do I optimise my web pages and website? How long will it take to get a high ranking? What control do I have?

What can I do on an ongoing basis? After I have done the training, how can I keep up-to-date?

When I started optimisation of my websites, the SEO industry was very young. Most people did it themselves. I did not have the opportunity to attend programs now offered.

The search engine optimisation industry has now matured. Many people are aware of the importance of SEO. Although it was never a good idea, you can no longer trick the search engines. There is a lot of good free advice on the web. There is also bad and dangerous advice that can harm your listings. You can learn yourself by trial and error, but the fee for this training should easily be covered by the time saved and the results achieved.

1. "Do it yourself" Completely

The training by Search Engine College provides tips and ideas which help webmasters and website designers develop sites that are search engine friendly.

SEO samples and examples are shown. The training covers all the key features of web page optimisation, and the steps necessary to achieve high SERP (Search Engine Results Page) rankings. The higher the SERP ranking, the greater the likelihood of the searcher clicking through to your site.

SEO action items are identified and the broader website optimisation and promotion issues are explained.

I recommend Search Engine College because, through the newsletter written by Kalena Jordan, I have monitored their progress and advice for many years. The course tutors are well experienced Australian and international SEO specialists.

You can work on your own website as you do the training. Every minute invested impacts back on your own website's success.

Enrolment information is here.

2. "Do it yourself" Kick Start

As all these concepts can be very confusing. I can provide an introductory consulting/training program that will "get you going". This involves a three step process that outlines the key issues and action items for your business and website. I specialise in training and coaching people, but I find these assignments cover much more. If SEO concepts are new to you, you need to understand how all the pieces of the jigsaw fit together. I also find that I provide additional marketing and business consulting input to every assignment as well.
