In Search Engine Optimisation Consulting (Part 1), I provided an explanation of the background to this offer of search engine optimisation and marketing services.

How would the web consultancy operate?

The steps in establishing the consultancy would follow this process:

1. You complete the Enquiry Form or send an email or letter expressing your interest and providing background information e.g. contact details, existing web addresses, organisation facts (products, services, etc.).

2. After reviewing the information and doing some background research, I will contact you about the key elements and issues of the assignment.

3. If the project is viable, I would then confirm the details and parameters of the project with you.

Up to this point, the process is free and without obligation on your part.

4. If accepted, the project would proceed in accordance with the plan and conditions outlined in a written proposal, including payment of a confirmation deposit.

The project will be divided into three parts, with the main activity being a meeting/training session.

Before the meeting I will review your website and send you some pre-meeting preparation activities.

At the meeting, we will have a wide ranging discussion. I will outline specific concepts and strategies to you. I will share with you the strategies behind my website. I will coach/train you in website specifics. We will develop an action plan.

After the meeting, you will implement the actions we have decided. I will review your work and provide advice, but the success of the project will be in your hands. You (and your staff) will be responsible for identifying and implementing specific web page changes.

My role is to sort the 'wood from the trees'. Only you truly know your business and you need the skills to alter your website as your business grows, changes and develops.

How much will the project cost?

Website optimisation is a serious business. The investment covers both money and time.

I aim to complete the meeting/training segment in one day. With the pre-work and follow up, your investment will be a minimum of $3000 AUD. Part of your preparation involves thinking about your targets. How many extra customers/clients do you have to gain before this investment is recouped? In some businesses, a small increase in sales can make a big impact on cash flow.

My base is Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. I normally come to you but I can use my training venue in Melbourne, CBD if required. Interstate assignments will incur travel and accomodation costs.
